I never got the opportunity to meet Stephanie before she passed but I was very touched by her story and extremely grateful for the opportunity to make a difference. Stephanies' story along with a story I heard on the radio a little over a month ago is what prompted me to start the "Faces of Cancer" project.

Peyton and Sydney
A while back, I received a phone call from a friend of mine asking me for a favor. She told me that she had a really close friend who was in the hospital going through cancer treatments and was wondering if I would photograph her friends’ two beautiful children. She wanted to surprise her friend with a portrait of her children so that she could see her kids even on days when they weren't able to come visit her.
I never got the opportunity to meet Stephanie before she passed but I was very touched by her story and extremely grateful for the opportunity to make a difference. Stephanies' story along with a story I heard on the radio a little over a month ago is what prompted me to start the "Faces of Cancer" project.

Hello, I am the father of Peyton and Sydney and the Husband of Stephanie. Words arent enough to express my thanks to you for what you did for Stephanie while she was in the hospital. Those pictures you took were her pride and joy as she said in a journal entry, "I cry each time I look at the pictures, it is now sacred to me. I have to show everyone who comes in to see me." She cherished those pictures taken and were always in her view. Thank you for allowing her to see her children when she wasnt able to come home.
